here's how the Z compares to other cars on the track.
My instructor drove a 911 Carerra 2 heavy modded (somehting like a 98 or a 99 one). He took my Z out for a run since i was wondering if i was a poor driver or it was something i could do with the car to make it better. Now, at the time i was only at stage 2 with nothing in suspension mod. He got the best time of the day.. of all drivers! yes that's right, he took my Z and did better than he did in his 911. i was shocked! I was running on 730's too and he had racing slicks on. So, yes, a lot has to do with the driver but overall, i seriously believe that our Z's are definately a serious comp for a lot of high end cars out there without them knowing.
Oh, after the run, he looked at me with a high smile and said: damn, this thing has a lot of power. I replied, oh, i'm not done with it yet. He looked at me like, holy shit, i can't imagine if it did have more.
Very good feelin there.
